Yoga teaches the balance of the mind and body through physical exercise (asanas) and meditation, bringing calmness to the mind, health to the body, and peace to the heart. Gentle stretches, breathing and centered exercises are designed to increase joint flexibility, improve muscle tone and strength, and relax the whole body/mind. No previous Yoga experience necessary. Wear loose clothing. Bring a mat and small blanket. Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach.
